บทคัดย่อ

      สถานการณ์สังคมผู้สูงอายุเป็นสิ่งท้าทายสังคมโลกในศตวรรษที่ 21 ทั่วโลกมีจำนวนผู้สูงอายุเพิ่มมากขึ้น ส่งผลให้องค์การต่าง ๆ ทั้งภาครัฐและเอกชนให้ความสำคัญต่อสถานการณ์ดังกล่าวเป็นอย่างมาก สำหรับประเทศไทยได้เข้าสู่ความเป็นสังคมผู้สูงอายุร่วมสิบกว่าปีมาแล้ว ภาครัฐและเอกชนได้หาแนวทางในการเผชิญกับความท้าทายนี้ในหลายรูปแบบ เป็นที่ทราบกันดีว่า สังคมไทยมีผู้นับถือพระพุทธศาสนาเป็นจำนวนมาก ในพระพุทธศาสนามีหลักธรรมคำสอนที่ถือได้ว่าเป็นปรัชญาสำหรับดำเนินชีวิตอย่างมีสติปัญญาจำนวนมาก และน่าจะมีหลักธรรมที่สามารถนำมาเป็นปรัชญาในการดูแลผู้สูงอายุได้ เพื่อเสนอเป็นพุทธปรัชญาเพื่อการดูแลผู้สูงอายุ ด้วยเหตุนี้บทความนี้ จึงมุ่งศึกษาวิเคราะห์พุทธรรมคำสอนมาเสนอเป็นพุทธปรัชญาสำหรับดูแลผู้สูงอายุ ด้วยหวังว่าผู้สูงอายุจะได้รับประโยชน์จากพระพุทธศาสนาอย่างเต็มที่ในบั้นปลายของชีวิตสมกับที่เป็นชาวพุทธ

Abstract

       Social Situation of the Elderly is a global challenge in 21^st century. As a result, organizations, namely, both the public and private sectors have taken responsibility for this matter. For Thailand has entered the elderly society over 10 years ago. The public and private sectors have sought to address this challenge in several ways. It is well- known that Thai society has many Buddhists. The Buddha’s teachings in Buddhism are considered to be the philosophy for living a mindful life. And there are many the Buddha’s teachings that can be applied to the philosophy of the elderly care. To propose a Buddhist philosophy for elderly care. For this reason, this article aims of the study and analyze the Buddhist philosophy to propose a philosophy for the elderly care. Hopefully, the elderly will benefit from Buddhism at the end of their life as the Buddhist.
